It had been a tough morning for little Lala.
She had accidentally spilled her juice, lost her favorite toy under the bed, and tripped while running to the porch. Her knees were a little scratched, but her heart felt even more bruised.
She sat alone under the tree, wiping her tears with her tiny paws.
Everything felt too much.
Then, soft footsteps came closer, and a gentle voice called, “Lala… my sweet girl.”
Lala looked up—and there was Mom, kneeling beside her with open arms.
Without a word, Lala ran into her embrace and buried her face in Mom’s soft shoulder.
Mom gently rocked her back and forth, whispering, “It’s okay now, my love. I’ve got you.”
Her warm hands stroked Lala’s back, and slowly, the tight feeling in Lala’s chest melted away. Her tears turned into sniffles, and her sniffles turned into a soft smile.
“Everything felt bad today,” Lala whispered.
“I know,” Mom said, kissing the top of her head. “But even the worst days can turn sweet with a hug.”
They sat together quietly, the sun peeking through the leaves, birds singing gently around them.
Mom pulled a small surprise from her pocket—a shiny red sticker with a smiley face.
“For being so brave,” she said.
Lala giggled and stuck it on her shirt. “Thanks, Mom. I feel better now. Like… really better.”
She hugged her even tighter, her heart now full of warmth and love.
“I love you soooo much!” she beamed.
Mom smiled, hugging her back. “And I’ll always be here when you need me.”
And in that moment, Lala felt like the luckiest little monkey in the world.
Because with Mom’s love, everything truly was okay.
