Lala obediently takes special care of Bon when Mom is away!

One sunny morning, Mom packed a small basket and said, “Lala, I have to run some errands. Can you be a good big sister and take care of Bon while I’m gone?”

Lala stood up tall, puffed out her chest, and nodded proudly. “Yes, Mom! I’ll take extra good care of him!”

Mom smiled and kissed both monkeys on the forehead. “Be kind, be gentle — and don’t forget snack time!”

As soon as Mom left, baby Bon waddled up to Lala, holding his tiny stuffed animal.

Lala clapped her hands. “First, let’s play!”

She brought out soft blocks and showed Bon how to build a tower. He mostly knocked them down, but Lala giggled and clapped every time.

Next was story time. Lala picked a picture book and read aloud, pointing to the animals and making silly voices. Bon listened with wide eyes and even tried to repeat a few words.

When Bon looked sleepy, Lala remembered what Mom said. “Snack first!”

She brought out banana slices and a little cup of warm milk. She made sure Bon sat on his soft pillow and wiped his face after every bite like a real little caretaker.

After snack time, Lala rocked Bon gently in the hammock, humming a lullaby until his eyes began to close.

By the time Mom returned, Bon was napping peacefully, and Lala was sitting nearby, watching over him like a quiet guardian.

Mom whispered, “You did such a wonderful job, Lala.”

Lala beamed. “Bon didn’t even cry once!”

Mom hugged her tightly. “You’re the best big sister ever.”

And in that moment, Lala felt proud, loved, and even a little more grown-up.

Because caring for someone you love? That’s the biggest adventure of all.
