Monkey Kaka hugged dad tightly when he saw dad coming to visit her

It was a quiet afternoon at the animal care center, and Monkey Kaka sat on her favorite tree branch, swaying gently in the breeze. She had toys, snacks, and new friends—but something was missing.

She missed Dad.

Every day, she would peek through the gate, just in case he was coming. But today, she didn’t expect much. She sighed, resting her chin on her little paws.

Then… she heard it.

A familiar voice. A soft whistle. Footsteps!

Kaka’s ears perked up. Her eyes widened. And in the distance, she saw him—Dad! Wearing his old hat, carrying a small fruit basket, smiling wide just like he always did.

“DAD!!!” Kaka shrieked with joy.

Without a second thought, she leapt down from the tree and ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. She didn’t stop until she crashed into his arms, hugging him as tightly as she could.

Dad laughed, holding her close. “Oh, my little Kaka, I missed you so much.”

Kaka didn’t say a word—she just nuzzled her face into his shoulder, not letting go. She felt safe. She felt warm. She felt home.

“I brought you your favorite,” Dad whispered, pulling out some sweet bananas and a tiny pink ribbon for her hair.

They sat together under the tree, sharing snacks, telling stories, and catching up on all the silly things Kaka had done since they’d last seen each other.

That evening, as the sun dipped low, Kaka rested in Dad’s lap, eyes slowly closing.

Even if he couldn’t stay forever, that one hug made everything feel right again.
