One quiet afternoon, little Bibi sat on the porch, hugging his knees and watching the clouds drift by. His usual playful energy was missing, and his eyes looked distant.
Mom and Dad had been so busy lately—watering plants, working on the farm, and answering phone calls. Every time Bibi tried to talk or show his drawings, they’d say, “Later, Bibi,” or “Not now, sweetheart.”
Bibi began to wonder…
“Do they still care about me?”
He sighed and walked to his favorite tree, where he used to play tag with Mom and share snacks with Dad. But today, it felt empty.
Suddenly, he heard soft footsteps behind him.
“Bibi?” It was Mom. She gently knelt beside him and held his hand. “Why are you here all alone?”
Bibi looked down. “I thought… maybe you and Dad forgot about me.”
Mom’s eyes filled with tears. She hugged him tightly. “Oh, Bibi… we’re so sorry. We’ve been busy, but we never, ever forget how much we love you.”
Just then, Dad appeared holding a tray with Bibi’s favorite banana cake and warm milk. “We made a special snack for our special boy.”
Bibi’s face lit up with a soft smile. He wrapped his arms around both of them and whispered, “I just missed you.”
Dad kissed the top of his head. “We missed you too. Let’s spend the rest of the day together, okay?”
And from that moment, Bibi knew: Even when parents get busy, their love never goes away. Sometimes, a little reminder brings hearts closer than ever.
That evening, they laughed, played, and made new memories—stronger than ever.
