The sun was shining through the jungle leaves, and the air smelled extra yummy this morning. Monkey BiBi’s nose twitched—something delicious was cooking!
“BiBi! Lunch is ready!” Mom called from the bamboo kitchen, her apron tied neatly and steam rising from a big pot.
BiBi grabbed Monkey Baby’s hand and raced down the tree branch bridge to the kitchen. Monkey Baby, still wobbly on his feet, giggled the whole way.
On the table sat two big bowls of noodles—warm, steamy, and topped with banana blossoms, crunchy veggies, and a dash of coconut sauce. Mom had even cut the carrots into tiny star shapes!
“Wow!” BiBi clapped her hands. “Your noodles are the best, Mom!”
Monkey Baby reached for a noodle and slurped it so loudly, everyone burst out laughing. A little sauce landed on his nose, but he didn’t seem to mind one bit.
They ate together happily, slurping and giggling with each bite. BiBi showed Monkey Baby how to use chopsticks, but he preferred to grab noodles with both hands—and that was just fine.
After their bowls were clean and their bellies were full, Mom brought out a surprise: two mini cups of mango pudding for dessert.
“You two ate so well,” she smiled, kissing their heads.
Monkey Baby curled up in BiBi’s lap, sleepy and full, while BiBi hummed a happy tune.
“Can we have noodles again tomorrow?” she asked.
“Of course,” Mom said with a wink. “But next time, you two are helping me cook!”
BiBi nodded eagerly. Cooking with Mom and sharing with Monkey Baby made everything taste better.
