Every time Monkey Kaka meets dad, she just wants dad to hug her.

Whenever the sound of Dad’s footsteps echoed near the gate, Monkey Kaka’s ears perked up. Her eyes sparkled, her little tail wagged with excitement, and she would dash toward the door—every single time.

It didn’t matter if Dad had only been gone for an hour or a whole day. For Kaka, every reunion felt like forever in the making.

And no matter what she was doing—eating, playing, or napping—everything stopped the moment she heard, “Kaka, I’m home!”

With tiny arms wide open and soft squeals of joy, Kaka would leap into Dad’s arms, burying her face into his shoulder. Her favorite thing in the world? A warm, safe hug from Dad.

“Did you miss me that much?” Dad would laugh, holding her tight.

Kaka wouldn’t answer, but her long, gentle hug said everything: I missed you. I love you. I feel happiest when you’re here.

Sometimes, Dad would have work papers or shopping bags in his arms, but none of that mattered to Kaka. She didn’t need toys or treats—just that one moment where he held her close, just the two of them.

And Dad always understood. He would put everything down, crouch to her level, and open his arms wide.

No matter how big she grows or how busy life gets, Kaka’s heart stays small and pure, full of love for the one who raised her, protected her, and always came home to hug her.

Because for Monkey Kaka, Dad’s hug is home.
