Monkey Kaka + Diem and Quynh went into the closet to hide from mom

It was supposed to be nap time.

But Monkey Kaka had a different idea.

“Let’s hide!” she whispered with a giggle.

Diem and Quynh looked at each other. “Where?” they asked.

Kaka pointed to the big wooden closet near the back of the room. “In there! Mom will never find us!”

Like a secret mission, the three tiptoed across the floor, trying not to giggle too loudly. Kaka slid the closet door open with a creeeak, and one by one, they slipped inside, squeezing between soft sweaters, blankets, and a pile of old shoes.

Inside the closet, it was dark… and hilarious.

“Shhh!” Quynh whispered. “She’s coming!”

Outside, Mom’s voice echoed: “Kaka? Diem? Quynh? Nap time!”

The three covered their mouths to stop from laughing.

Then — ACHOO! Diem sneezed. Kaka stepped on a squeaky slipper. Quynh knocked over a stack of scarves.

Outside, Mom paused. “Hmm…”

Suddenly — WHOOSH! The closet doors flew open.

“There you are!” Mom said, hands on her hips but trying not to laugh. “You thought you could escape nap time?”

“We were hiding for fun!” Kaka squeaked.

Mom shook her head with a smile. “Alright, little monkeys. One more game, then nap time for real.”

Kaka, Diem, and Quynh tumbled out, giggling and hugging her.

And after one last game of hide-and-seek, they finally curled up together in a cozy blanket, the closet adventure already becoming their favorite story to tell.
