It was a sunny morning, and little monkey Lala was busy playing with her toys on the soft grass. She had her favorite banana plushie in one hand and her tiny bottle in the other. Everything was perfect—until suddenly, she froze.
“Oh no,” she whispered. She had peed!
Lala looked around quickly, her cheeks turning red. “Where’s my diaper?” she squeaked.
She had taken it off earlier while trying to “be a big monkey” like her older brother BiBi, but now, she didn’t know where it had gone!
Panicked, Lala tiptoed across the yard, trying to hide the little wet spot on her bottom. She peeked behind the bush—no diaper. She looked under the hammock—still nothing!
Then she saw Dad walking toward her with a basket of clean laundry.
Lala gasped. “I have to find it before Dad sees me!”
She jumped into the laundry basket, tossing socks and towels around like a little whirlwind. Just as she thought she spotted her missing diaper, Dad turned the corner.
“Lala… what are you doing?” he asked with a raised eyebrow.
Lala froze, holding a sock on her head like a hat.
“I… uh… lost my diaper,” she confessed, ears drooping.
Dad chuckled and gently scooped her up. “It’s okay, silly girl. Accidents happen.”
He gave her a fresh diaper, cleaned her up, and kissed her forehead.
“You don’t have to be a big monkey just yet,” he said. “But next time, maybe tell me before you turn the laundry basket into a tornado?”
Lala giggled, now wrapped snugly in a new diaper. “Okay, Daddy.”
And just like that, the diaper drama was over—until next time!
