It was a sunny and breezy morning when Lala eagerly followed Mom to the farm, ready for a new adventure. Today’s mission? Harvesting sweet, ripe jackfruit! With her little basket in hand and eyes full of excitement, Lala skipped along the path, humming happily.
As they reached the jackfruit trees, the delicious smell of ripe fruit filled the air. Mom showed Lala how to recognize which ones were ready—soft, golden, and oh-so-fragrant. Lala tried her best to help, holding the bottom of the fruit while Mom gently twisted and cut it down from the tree.
Sticky, sweet juice dripped as they opened the first jackfruit. Lala’s eyes sparkled! She reached in, grabbed a golden piece, and took a big bite. “Yummy!” she squealed with delight. The flavor was so rich and juicy, she couldn’t stop smiling.
The two of them sat under the tree, enjoying their freshly harvested treat. They shared stories and laughs, with birds chirping above and the gentle wind rustling the leaves around them. It wasn’t just about the fruit—it was about being together, working as a team, and making joyful memories.
After their snack, Lala helped carry some jackfruit pieces back home to share with Bon and the kittens. She was proud to tell them she helped harvest it all by herself!
By the end of the day, Lala was tired but full of joy—and full of jackfruit too! She hugged Mom tightly and whispered, “Let’s go again tomorrow!”
