The sun peeked over the hills, casting golden light across the fields. Birds chirped happily as if they, too, were excited—because today, Lala and Bon were finally together again!
It had been many days since they last saw each other. Rainy weather, school, and busy schedules kept them apart, but nothing could stop today’s adventure. As soon as Bon jumped off the tractor with a smile as wide as the barn door, Lala ran across the yard and gave him the biggest hug.
“Let’s go!” Lala shouted.
They ran past the old oak tree, where their tire swing still waited. They waved to the cows, who mooed in lazy greeting, and tiptoed past the henhouse so they wouldn’t disturb the clucking hens.
“Look!” Bon pointed. “Baby goats!”
Tiny hooves danced in the grass, making both of them laugh. They fed carrots to the rabbits and shared a slice of apple pie under the shade of the big red barn.
Everything felt brighter, more fun, just because they were together.
They ended the day lying on their backs in the hayloft, watching clouds drift through the open window. Lala smiled. “I missed this.”
Bon nodded. “Me too.”
Sometimes, even the best places feel a little empty without your favorite person. But today, the farm was full of laughter, joy, and the kind of memories that last a long, long time.
