It had been many days since Lala and Bon last saw each other. The rain had kept them indoors, and school had kept them busy. But finally, the sun was shining, and the farm was calling their names!
Lala arrived first, her boots squishing slightly in the soft dirt. She looked around the wide, open field and smiled. Everything looked the same—except it didn’t feel the same without Bon. Just then, she heard a familiar voice.
“Lala!” Bon came running from the gate, arms wide, his hat bouncing on his head.
They laughed, spun in circles, and did their secret handshake, the one only they knew. It was time for an adventure.
Together, they raced past the big red barn and tiptoed around the chicken coop. The hens clucked in protest, and Bon giggled, whispering, “Sorry, ladies!”
Next, they climbed the wooden fence to say hello to the horses. Lala gave Applejack a pat on the nose, while Bon shared a crunchy carrot with Daisy, the gentle gray mare.
Behind the barn, they discovered something new—a litter of kittens nestled in a pile of hay. Their eyes sparkled with excitement.
“Let’s name them!” Lala said, and so they did—Whiskers, Paws, Stripey, and Zoom.
As the sun began to set, the sky turned pink and gold. The two friends sat on the old tire swing, gently swaying, watching the light fade over the fields.
“I missed this,” Bon whispered.
“Me too,” Lala said, squeezing his hand.
The farm was fun, but it was the laughter, stories, and shared moments that made it magical again. After many days apart, Lala and Bon were home—with each other.
